Characters

Make the cast feel consistent before you worry about final pixels.

Character card

Set look action

Character cards show the display name, type, and saved voice controls. Character appearance is now changed from the timeline with the Set look action, so costume changes, disguises, injuries, and other visual changes happen at the exact beat where they belong. Choose from movie looks or an appearance preset.

Cartoon fallback

A clean procedural look when no pack is selected.

No characters?

The panel explains that the scene has no character cards yet.

Create a character and looks

Choose Create a character in the Characters panel. Enter the character’s name and a look title, then customize body size and scale, colors, hair, eyes, face details, clothing, and accessories. Use the preview’s view, state, and zoom controls to inspect the design before saving.

To add an existing character from another scene in the same movie, first add a Place character action and select them.

Saved movie looks are available to Set look actions. Place the character with Place character or bring them into the scene with Move character.

Select a saved voice

Use the Voice selector on a character card to choose a saved voice for that character. The card shows its description and an audio preview when available. The selection is used for dialogue generation; already generated lines retain their existing audio until regenerated.

Create or modify a voice

Choose Add voice and describe the delivery you want. Generate previews, listen, choose a candidate, and give the voice a name before saving it to the movie. Modify selected creates variations from the selected voice; describe the change and compare the previews before saving.
